How We're Different
J.T. has over 12 years of hotel construction, development and management experience. J.T. and David Robert founded Midas Hospitality in 2006.
Previous to the hospitality industry, J.T. spent 5 years in public accounting with a specialization in construction and hospitality industries. J.T. has been involved in 20+ hotel construction projects in his career. Entrepreneurial spirit, hard work and distinguished ethics are a foundation of J.T.’s career.
J.T. is a member of the American Institute and Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Illinois. J.T. Is a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) and serves as a board member on the Lewis & Clark chapter.
David grew up working in his father’s milling business in Southeast Missouri. Here he learned how to work hard, treat others fairly and make good business decisions.
He has a Business Administration Degree from Southeast Missouri St. University. During college, David worked at a local hotel. Upon graduation he went to work for Holiday Inn’s Inc. and spent the next ten years operating a variety of hotels for the company.
In 2006, David and JT Norville founded Midas Hospitality. David has been involved in 30+ hotel construction projects in his career.
Appointed by the County Executive, Mr. Robert serves as a Commissioner for the St. LouisConvention and Visitors Commission. He also is actively involved in local charities including the Franciscan Sisters, South County Chamber of Commerce and Susan G. Komen Foundation.
Jim brings over 33 years of construction experience to his role as Vice President. Early in his career he served as Project Manager for a St. Louis based general contractor, managing projects in the commercial, education, industrial, telecommunications and publics works sectors.
Jim founded a construction company where, as President, he grew the business in the restaurant, retail and telecommunication infrastructure industries culminating in the sale of the business to a growing public company. Since, Jim has held various executive leadership positions with large public and private construction and construction management firms.
Jim grew up in the St. Louis metro east area where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. Jim serves on the SIUE School of Engineering Advisory Board and was inducted into the SIUE School of Engineering Hall of Fame. Jim and his wife Deb have two grown sons and are very active in their local church.
